MomoCon, the premier celebration of gaming and anime in the Southeast United States, is set to make a grand return to the Georgia World Congress Center from May 24 to May 27, 2024. This year’s event promises an electrifying lineup of activities, including the presence of renowned game designer Goichi “Suda51” Suda as the keynote speaker and a captivating performance by the Japanese idol group BABYBEARD.
Suda51, acclaimed for his work on iconic titles like No More Heroes, Travis Strikes Again, Shadows of the Damned, and killer7, will grace the stage on Saturday, May 25, at 4 pm. Attendees can look forward to an insightful and intimate keynote speech where Suda51 will delve into his illustrious career, and game development insights, and tease upcoming projects.
Adding to the excitement, BABYBEARD will take the stage with “An Adorable Assault on the Senses” on the same day at 2:30 pm. Following the success of their singles like “NIPPON KARA KONNICHIWA” and “PIENNIZER,” BABYBEARD promises a performance that will captivate and entertain fans.
MomoCon 2024 will also host thrilling video game tournaments featuring Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 3, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Guilty Gear -Strive-, and Mortal Kombat 11 brackets. Tabletop and card game enthusiasts can also join in the fun with dedicated faceoffs throughout the weekend.
Attendees can explore the show floor with a plethora of gaming demos and merchandise from indie exhibitors like MultiPath, NerdBurger Games, Universe of Legends TCG, and When Suddenly! Games, Sliced Kiwi Studios, Aleth Labs, and Slap Stag, among others.
