The Horizon Retrowave update has finally arrived in Forza Horizon 5 and as Summer heats up, we are in for a nostalgic takeover as neon lights and 80s jams take over the game. To give you a taste of the new Update right away, the very first treasure hunt of this update is all about soaking in the neon lights and exploring what is best from the 80s. Our Forza Horizon 5 Near Misfortune Treasure Hunt Guide will help you complete this week’s challenge easily.
Near Misfortune Treasure Hunt Guide – Forza Horizon 5
We will begin by first looking at and solving the treasure clue for this challenge. The treasure clue this week states: ‘Driving close to traffic may be daunting, but on the highway this challenge is rewarding’. This clue is accompanied by a picture of a 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 driving very close to a blue Mazda Speed3 traffic car. Judging by the clue and the accompanying photo, we can easily say that the clue can be solved by getting on the highway and driving close to the traffic in order to get some Near Miss skills.
This is the perfect time for this challenge as it will allow you to check out the new neon takeover all over the highway as well. There is no vehicle requirement for this challenge but if you are feeling nostalgic, you can pick up any 80s vehicle of your choice and complete the challenge with it. Once you have acquired some Near Miss skills, you will get the notification that you have completed the challenge, and the treasure chest is now unlocked on the map. This week, the treasure chest is sitting near Sierra Verde Dam and Gran Puente. We have marked its exact location on the map below:
Once you arrive at the location, you will find the treasure chest sitting at the gate of a big estate. Simply smash through the chest and you will be rewarded with 100,000 CR along with 3 Points towards your Festival Playlist completion.
