Netflix Reveals Full Cast of ‘The Witcher’ Series – No Release Date Announced Yet

The Witcher video games have been very popular and successful since the release of the first game back in 2007. Previously, Netflix announced that they will be making a live action series of ‘The Witcher’. Now, Netflix have revealed full cast of the series.

Henry Cavil initially shared on instagram that he will be playing the lead character role in ‘The Witcher’ series. By lead character means, Henry Cavil will play the role of Geralt, the white wolf. This left the fans of Witcher community to wonder as who will play the role of Ciri and Yennefer.

Netflix has finally announced the complete cast of ‘The Witcher’ series. This was revealed in a tweet. According to it, Yennefer will be played by Anya Chalotra and Ciri will be played by Freya Allen.

From the looks of it, we can safely assume Netflix is going in just the right direction ‘The Witcher’ Series needs. All the casting actors are fabulous in their line of work.

No release date is revealed so far for Netflix’s The Witcher series. However, after the reveal of complete cast, we now hope Netflix will announce the release date anytime soon.

Before the official reveal of the cast, The Witcher’s original creator Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski demanded PLN 60m, (£12.4m/$16.1m) from CD Projekt RED on the grounds of copyrights violation.

CD Projekt Red defended the demand and mentioned:

In the Company’s opinion the demands expressed in the notice are groundless with regard to their merit as well as the stipulated amount. The Company had legitimately and legally acquired copyright to Mr. Andrzej Sapkowski’s work, i.a. insofar as is required for its use in games developed by the Company. All liabilities payable by the Company in association therewith have been properly discharged
