City 20 Demo Factions

Developer and publisher Untold Games has released a new video for City 20 giving us a closer look at the faction system in its upcoming dystopian survival sandbox. City 20 explores a futuristic world where survival and allegiance are at the heart of the gameplay experience. In the video, Narrative Designer Nicholas Di Valerio delves into the game’s lore and gives you a glimpse of how the complex faction dynamics will shape their journey in City 20.

The factions at the center of City 20 are the Raboch and the Mogza, two powerful groups that dominate the city. Each faction comes with its own distinct set of motivations, secrets, and internal conflicts. As you navigate the city, they will have the opportunity to engage with these factions, shaping the course of your story and determining their impact on the city. Whether you choose to support or subvert these factions will influence not only the narrative but also your survival within the dystopian landscape.

According to Di Valerio, Raboch and the Mogza are just the beginning. As the game progresses through its Early Access period, Untold Games plans to introduce additional factions, further expanding the game’s political and social intrigue. This evolving dynamic promises to offer you new challenges and opportunities as they explore the many layers of the city’s conflicts and alliances.

The overview video offers a taste of the rich storytelling and player agency that City 20 will provide. You will have the power to shape the city’s fate, deciding which factions to align with or oppose, ultimately making their mark on the crumbling metropolis. The introduction of these systems suggests a deeply immersive experience where decisions matter, and every choice can lead to far-reaching consequences.

If you want to try out City 20 ahead of its release, Untold Games is heading to the Tokyo Games Show later this month where you can try out a demo for the game. City 20 is slated for an Early Access release on September 23, 2024, and you can head over to its official Steam page to add it to your wishlist. City 20 is also releasing on the Epic Games Store.
