XP plays a vital role in any game that features a Battle Pass because the entire progression system is based on this XP. Marvel Rivals follows the same rules however it switches up the XP system a little, which makes it a little hard to understand at first. Normally, a game has a single XP mechanic which gathers all XP earned into a single place. Marvel Rivals does this a little differently. This Marvel Rivals XP Guide will help you understand how the XP system works in the game and how you can earn more XP in the game.
XP Guide – Marvel Rivals
The XP system in Marvel Rivals is split into two different sections. One type of XP in the game is called Regular XP while the other one is called Event XP. How you earn both of these XP types is different and they both work differently as well. Regular XP is like any other game, and it will allow you to increase the level of your profile, and this increase is permanent. On the other hand, Event XP is linked with the current event, and it will continue to change with every new Season added to the game. This will allow you to unlock seasonal rewards from the Battle Pass.
How to Gain Regular XP and Increase Your Profile Level
The regular XP can be obtained by simply playing the game and performing well in it. You will even earn regular XP if you are playing the Practice Range against A.I. Apart from participation in all game modes, you will also earn XP if you kill enemies or perform other tasks like assists. Once a match concludes, you will be shown at the end screen a breakdown of all of the XP you gained in that particular match and how much it is increasing your Profile’s level. After reaching an XP milestone, your profile will move to the next level.
How to Gain Event XP and Progress in Battle Pass
As we mentioned earlier, Event XP is time-limited, and you will earn it by completing Daily Missions, Challenges, and Season Missions. In the main menu, you will see a separate tab for Season where you can view the Battle Pass and the Daily, Weekly, and Seasonal Challenges for the game. The Daily and Weekly Missions will give you Chrono Tokens and a few of the Seasonal Challenges will also give you Chrono Tokens.
You can see the reward for each Mission right next to it. Complete these challenges and missions and you will be rewarded with Chrono Tokens which are used for purchasing items from Battle Pass. This can be considered as a currency to purchase items from the Battle Pass as well.
