Elemental Dust – Where to Find
Our ARK Extinction Elemental Dust Guide details everything that you need to know about finding and farming Elemental Dust in ARK Extinction, the newest DLC for ARK Survival Evolved.
You will need Elemental Dust for a number of things in ARK Extinction such as crafting new items and most importantly powering up your new Scout Drone. Scout Drone is extremely helpful in ARK Extinction as it will allow you to recon an area safely without physically going down there for any sorts of life forms.
All new items and blue prints that are present in the game need Elemental Dust otherwise you will not be able to craft the new items in the expansion. When you encounter Enforcers in the wild, you can kill them and loot blueprints from them. Take these to City Terminal to craft an Enforcer for your own self.
You can now use your Enforcer to stock up on Elemental Dust. It does not require to be stocked with food. As your Enforcer levels up, you will need greater amounts of Elemental Dust. It is vital that you keep an eye on your Enforcer because as their quality increases, they will need more Elemental Dust.
If you encounter higher level Enforcers, they will drop better blueprints for you so keep an eye out for them. Elemental Dust is the only way to tame then, there is no other way to tame them. Coming to Elemental Dust collection, it depends on how much Elemental Dust you need.
Smaller amounts of Elemental Dust can be obtained by heading to the Great City and hitting the lampposts with your pickaxe. This will give you Elemental Dust in smaller quantities. However, to collect larger amounts of Elemental Dust, you will need to find and kill Enforcers. Loot their bodies to get blue prints as well as Elemental Dust.
For now, these are the only two ways by which you can farm Elemental Dust in ARK Extinction. If you are looking to tame Enforcers instead, Elemental Dust is the only way to tame them as well.
