Soedesco Partners with Pixel Heart for Zelda Inspired Game Airoheart

Soedesco has announced its partnership with Australian independent developer Pixel Heart Studio to bring Zelda inspired game called Airoheart. The game is a pixel art adventure with classic real0time combat created in Unreal Engine 4.

Airoheart has been in development for quite some time now having started in 2018, later being successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2020.

Airoheart is a top-down story based, puzzle platformer with classic real-time combat, crafted in a nostalgic 16-bit pixel art style. Embark on a quest to save Engard and encounter strange and fascinating characters, with unique and interweaving stories. Conquer dungeons and bosses each with their own theme and ever increasing difficulty. Can you save Engard from this dark and sinister plot?

Pixel Heart Studio is founded by the solo developer, Samuel North, which is also their first title. The developer was quite excited to share the partnership announcement stating,

Knowing so many great games to come from SOEDESCO in the past, it was surreal to hear from them. I’m feeling blessed to have partnered up and to work with their lovely team behind the scenes.

According to the developer, the game is an ode to the deep and emotional story telling of the Final Fantasy series, while also adopting the style and charm of early classics from The Legend of Zelda series. The graphical art style and the music of the game are heavily inspired by such franchises with core gameplay elements closely resembling that of ‘A Link To The Past’
