Amanda Ripley returns for yet another Alien game, Alien Blackout, but this time the game is coming out exclusively on mobile devices. The game is slated for release on both iOS and Android later this year.
Anyone who has played the original 2014’s Alien Isolation knows about Amanda Ripley who is the daughter of Ellen Ripley. She is coming back for her debut on mobile devices with Alien Blackout. Alien Blackout is set on Weyland-Yutani space station where players will encounter a single Xenomorph on the prowl.
The game is being developed by FoxNext, D3 Go and Rival Games who promise that this is going to be authentic Isolation experience on the mobile devices. The game will feature seven different levels and each level can only be cleared using the station’s emergency systems. Each level will be full of difficult challenges and will give the same level of tension as of Isolation.

They will need to use all the available resources to escape the Xenomorph in all seven levels.
Coming to the franchise timeline, the game is set between the events of Alien and Aliens which is the first and the second movie. This mobile game is part of ‘Read. Play.Watch’ which is the narrative based around Amanda Ripley. Amanda Ripley will also re-visit her mother’s Nostromo space ship however more information on this will be revealed later this month.
According to the official D3Go website, the official description of the title is as below.
“Try to stay alive while trapped aboard a crippled Weyland-Yutani space station carrying a deadly Xenomorph as it tirelessly hunts you and the crew. Outsmart the perfect hunter by making perilous choices. Players must rely on the damaged controls of the space station or risk sacrificing crew members to avoid deadly contact, permanently altering the outcome of the game.”
