We reported earlier that Frictional Games is teasing their next big horror video game and the studio has finally revealed the next title to be Amnesia: Rebirth. Amnesia: Rebirth is a brand new horror game set in the world of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It follows the studio’s last release SOMA which was released nearly five years ago. However, with Rebirth, the studio promises another evolutionary leap for the developer.
Amnesia: Rebirth will challenge players to remain calm in the face of unimaginable terror as it begins a new generation of horror. It is a new descent into darkness set in the desolate landscape of the Algerian desert and focuses on a new character Tasi Trianon as she begins a harrowing journey through devastation and despair. She will come face to face with personal terror and pain as she explores the limits of human resilience.
You can’t let out a breath. The creature is only inches away. Its sole purpose – to feed off your terror. And so you crouch in the dark, trying to stop the fear rising, trying to silence what lies within you.
You will retrace Tasi’s journey and pull together fragments of her shattered past as this is the only way to survive the pitiless horror that threatens to devour you. Time is against you however you must continue, step by step because failure is not an option in the game. If you’ve played the original Amnesia: The Dark Descent or Soma, you must be already familiar with the type of horror Frictional Games deliver and Amnesia: Rebirth is slated to be their finest work as of yet.
Amnesia: Rebirth is slated for a release in Autumn 2020 which gives us plenty of time to become immune to horror and get ready to play yet another potential horror masterpiece from Frictional Games.
