Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs is finally heading to PlayStation VR this week. It was initially released on Steam and Oculus Store and was compatible with both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets. The title is now finally heading to PS VR next week and players can play the game on PS4 as well.
The main theme of Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs is the same as that of any other traditional Angry Birds game. The pigs have stolen the eggs and it is now up to birds to bring them back. This time, however, players can actually play the title in VR allowing for a more immersive VR experience.
The game features 50+ levels at this point with more to come and players will be able to destroy the pig structures in beaches, steep cliffs, and snowy mountains. Each level will be played in VR and players will be able to set up the perfect angle by actually looking around the level in VR. For moving the slingshot around, players will need PlayStation Move Controllers.
You can check out the trailer for the game below which shows how you will able to experience the title in VR.
The game is in full 3D allowing players to approach each level from different directions. At the end of each level, the level of destruction will award players with stars just like in a normal Angry Birds game. Each bird featured in the game also brings their abilities to the table so nothing has changed in the formula of the title.
The game also features different bosses as well as adding balloons and boulders in levels to make each level a unique challenge for the players. All this played in immersive VR is certainly going to make the fans of the franchise very happy. Rovio is also releasing an AR version of the title on iOS later in the Spring.
Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs is releasing on PlayStation VR on March 26, 2019.
