Animal Well is a pretty decent Metroidvania game and naturally, its gameplay revolves around discovering scattered items and tools across its map to solve puzzles. Bubble Wand
Creates a bubble, which can be jumped on.
In the southwest area of the map, it is found in a chest
Yoyo
Shoot out a Yoyo, which can be used to break rocks or hit out-of-reach buttons.
In the southwest area of the map, it is found in a chest
Disc
Throw a bouncing Disc, which can be used to hit buttons and switches.
Located within a dog statue in the northwest section of the map, it requires substitution with the M Disc.
Slink
Used to hit buttons, as it falls down the staircase-shaped areas.
Found in a chest in the northeast area on the map.
M Disc
Used to replace the regular Disc in the ghost dog statue.
Found from a statue in the room above the ghost dog statue.
Animal Flute
Used to play songs, which do different things, like fast travel.
Acquired within the Egg Room located centrally on the map as a prize for discovering 8 Eggs.

Pencil
Allows you to draw on the Map.
Picked up in the Egg Room in the central part of the map as the prize for finding 16 Eggs.

Top
Used to destroy blocks, including breakable ground. Is the only item that destroys breakable ground.
Picked up in the Egg Room in the central part of the map as the prize for finding 32 Eggs.

Firecrackers
Used to scare animals and ghosts away.
Firecrackers are among the few items you can use. They appear in various locations across the map and will reappear after being used.

Fruit
Recovers health
Purple fruits, which offer extra hearts, are scattered across the map and cannot be carried when you’re already in full health.

Bouncy Ball
A Bouncy Ball that can break special blocks and occasionally activates a brick breaker minigame.
After defeating the Kangaroo and collecting the K Medal, players can use it to unlock a door located in the northwest area. Inside this door, they will find the Bouncy Ball.
Remote
The Remote can switch blocks and cause special effects in areas with a remote beacon.
After defeating the boss in the northeast and earning the S Medal, you can use it to access a hidden area in the south where you’ll find the Remote.
Wheel
Used to traverse safely across spikes and to activate special wheel controls.
You can get the Wheel by releasing the Cats from cages in the southeast part of the map and then going to the hidden Cat Room.
Lantern
Used to safely pass through ghosts and white birds. Will also light up dark rooms and let you view the map.
The Lantern is acquired at the beginning of the fifth section, which becomes accessible after collecting the flames from the other four regions.
UV Lantern
Used to see hidden messages in some areas.
You need to find and light all nine Candles, then head to the Koala fast travel pipe, and a new room is revealed.
Stamps
Allows you to stamp different icons on the Map.
Found in the Egg Room, no minimum Eggs required.
Egg Room
House Key
Allows you to enter the House at the end of the game.
Defeat the final boss in the Lantern area, it will drop the House Key for you to collect.
Office Key
Allows you to enter the Office in the House at the end of the game.
Finish the post-game Egg Song puzzle.
Egg Room
F. Pack
Allows you to carry up to six firecrackers.
At the end of the Lantern area, it can be found in a closet in the House.
B. B. Wand
Allows you to create multiple bubbles at once.
Found in a secret room, one room up and to the left of the final boss arena.
