A recent report by Daily Esports claims that the first Battle Pass for Apex Legends is arriving next week along with a new hero. The new hero is Octane and although was already leaked ahead of its reveal, looks exactly like it was in the leak.
We knew that Apex Legends is receiving its first Battle Pass in March as Respawn had announced it earlier as well however we did not have a clear release date. It seems like the source states that the Battle Pass is arriving on March 12 and the new hero Octane will be a part of it.
Octane had earlier appeared online on the Apex Legends subreddit where dataminers had revealed the name of the hero and we also had some poor quality images. Daily Esports report not only confirms the name Octane but they have also revealed a high quality image if the hero which shows that is it very similar to the one which leaked earlier.
Check it out below.
At this point there is no further information available about the hero or its abilities. Although what we do know according to the leak is that Octane is the main promotional figure for the Battle Pass and will arrive with the Battle Pass.
We also do not have any more information about the Battle Pass at this point as well. We do not know how long it will last, how much it will cost and how much content will each Battle Pass add to the game. If the report is on point and three Battle Pass is indeed coming next week, Respawn is sure to reveal details on it sooner or later.
Apex Legends recently crossed the 50 million player in its first month which is a huge milestone to reach. The Battle Pass will surely add more players to the title and it looks like a worthy contender to topple Fortnite out of the top spot. Epic Games also added an Apex Legends inspired ‘Ping’ system and is also looking forward to adding a respawn system in the game as well.
Apex Legends is now out on PS4, Xbox One and PC and is free-to-play for all players.
