Apple Arcade

Apple has announced its brand new video game streaming service called Apple Arcade and it will launch with 100 exclusive titles. This was announced by Apple just recently and was revealed by Ann Thai who is the product marketing manager for the App Store. The service will allow players to experience a curated collection of video games on mobile, desktops and living rooms.

Right at launch, Apple Arcade will come with 100 exclusive titles which will be developed specially for the service. These video games will not be available at any other service or platform. The service will allow players to download the titles to play them on their favorite device. This will give the users the freedom to download and play any game that they want in one exclusive price.

At this point, Apple did not announce the price of the service however the list of compatible devices includes Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Players will be able to play all downloaded games offline as well until their service remains active. Players will be able to use Family Sharing with their accounts as well.

The service will not require a constant internet connection at all times and will allow players to run the games at any time whether they are connected to the internet or not. The games will not be streamed rather they will be downloaded to the device and run locally from there. It works similar to Xbox Game Pass rather than Google’s Stadia platform which is completely based on streaming.
