In addition to Deinonychus locations, we will also show some other new places in Valguero that will take you to Ice Wyverns, Rock Golems and Karkinos as well. We will share the exact map coordinates of all these creatures.
Ark: Valguero Creatures Guide
Below we have detailed all the locations where you can find the Deinonychus, Karkinos, Ice Wyverns, and Rock Golems.
Deinonychus
Deinonychus is the newly introduced dinosaur in Valguero. These are fiercely territorial in the wild and will do anything to protect their nests. The new creatures can be found in the bottom right of the map. Once you go to this location, you will find dozens of Deinonychus in this area. If you are looking to tame a Deinonychus, the only way is to find their nests containing eggs.
Deinonychus territories are very dangerous, and these new creatures will do anything to stop you from reaching their eggs. So you have to plan your approach before you plan on going to a nest. The nests are usually on the ground, in open areas and sometimes near trees or bushes.
Below we have listed the exact location to find the Deinonychus Eggs:
- 68.9, 92.5: Here you will find a nest that main contain a small Deinonychus Eggs.
- 67.8, 91.9: Another nest can be found at this location
Rock Golem
You can also find Rock Golems in Valguero. Rock Golems appear as large boulders, and cannot be tamed. You can bring down a Rock Golem by using Metal Arrows, or explosives that work best.
To find Rock Golems in the new Valguero Map, you need to go to the following location:
- 82.0, 94.5: There are a couple of large boulders that are actually Rock Golems.
Ice Wyvern
The new map also has a new location where you can find Ice Wyverns. These new creatures look similar to a Fire Wyvern but have a more triangular, beak-like upper jaw that is slightly wider. These are extremely aggressive flying creatures that are always looking for a fight.
This new location is at the very top right of the map. Below are the coordinates:
- 08.2, 79.5: You can find a lot Ice Wyvern nests here at the cliff face of the valley. There are a lot of Ice Wyvern here so you should be expecting a lot of players as well.
Karkinos
The Karkinos are carb like creatures that can be found in the Aberration Biome cave region of Valguero. Aberration Biome is towards the east of the map, and closer to the location of where you can find Ice Wyverns.
To go the specific location of the Karakinos, you first have to get to the entrance of Aberration:
- 32.1, 92.9: This is one of the entrances of Aberration, that leads you to a massive underground cave system that contains Karkinos
- 47.3, 59.1: Once inside caves, go to this location where you will find a lot of Karkinos in the deep cave systems of the Aberration Biome.
