Bohmemia Interactive Announces Arma 3 Update 2.00

Arma 3 Update

After nearly seven years since the version 1.00 update of Arma 3, Bohemia Interactive announces Arma 3 Update 2.00 with a trailer. The latest update to the PC military sandbox sim game will add a new and free firing drill, and a new color edition of an existing weapon.

In addition, there will be a camo variant for the selected fear, extra Steam achievements, and players will have options to share compositions that they make in the game.

Check out the trailer below:

Starting with the new fire drill, Course of the Fire: Gray, players will have to set record time on a challenging coarse hosted by a familiar operative from Arma 3’ story campaigns. If players complete the challenge within the set timer of 2 minutes, they will be awarded with a gold medal. There are many surprising encounters in the course that are related to the previous versions of Arma 3.

The update also contains a new arid variant of existing CTRG special forces gear, both stealth uniform and combat helmet, and a black variant for the P07 pistol. Both of these will be available in the new firing drill.

On the other hand, players will now be able to share custom compositions from the game. They can do so by accessing Arma 3’s extensive library of weapons, vehicles, equipment, characters, structures, and props available and arranging their in-game assets in the editor. When they’re done, all they need to do is save their selected assets as a custom composition and click on the appropriate icon to publish it to the Steam Workshop.

Compositions can include anything from full-blown military camps to specific roadblocks or checkpoints, a Halloween pumpkin festival, a simple table and chairs, or anything in between. By sharing their unique compositions via the Steam Workshop, Arma 3 content creators can help each other build expansive, detailed, and atmospheric scenarios quickly and easily.
