It looks like the Assassin’s Creed III Liberation Collection might just be coming for the Nintendo Switch after a box art was spotted online of the game.
The discovery was made by a Reddit user by the name of Nightmare666xD on Reddit where it was pointed out by the user that a listing was found in several Czech online stores with the box art collection leaked. The leaked box art came alongside a €35 price tag and a release date for February 15.
Apparently, the Assassin’s Creed III bundle, which was originally released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U and PC, while the Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation was originally released for the PlayStation Vita. Both these titles of the game were released back in October of 2012.
The bundle and the Liberation are re-releases which are also coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It is also announced as a part of the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass, which is a standalone game coming in March.
The two remastered games coming on the consoles will support 4K HDR on the PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC. The upgrades are not only visual but the game will offer improved gameplay mechanics and several tweaked features
If the rumors are true, it will be the first Assassin’s Creed game coming to a Nintendo console since Assassin’s Creed III on the Wii U. The rumored date is also not far away, which means that confirmation would be coming in these couple of weeks.
This is not the first time rumors have been rising about the game coming for the Nintendo Switch. A few months ago rumors were suggesting that the Switch would eventually receive the game bundle of sorts.
If the games do come on the Switch, there may be some visual sacrifices that Ubisoft will have to make for the portable console. Nonetheless, an Assassin’s Creed game for the Switch is something fans would love to see.
