Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting its second major expansion The Siege of Paris next month. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla The Siege of Paris will release on August 12, 2021, for all platforms, and the game’s Season 3, Sigrblot Season is launching this week on July 29, 2021, with new rewards and activities accessible to all players. It will end on August 19, 2021.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second expansion The Siege of Paris is set in Francia and this new adventure will send Eivor on a dangerous path full of gripping questlines across the Frankish countryside, towards one of the most infamous conquest battles in Viking history. The new expansion will bring new weapons, abilities, gear, and skills to fight new enemy types in The Siege of Paris.
The Siege of Paris will also mark the return of the Infiltration Missions which are directly inherited from the long-time, fan-favorite Black Box Missions. In these missions, you will have the liberty to choose the best way to eliminate your designated target. The Siege of Paris will be available for all Season Pass owners right at launch while it will also be available separately for $24.99.
Soundtrack fans will be happy to know that alongside the release of The Siege of Paris, Ubisoft is also releasing The Siege of Paris music album on August 12, 2021, which will come with the entire soundtrack. From July 29, 2021, you will be able to celebrate Summer in the limited-time Sigrblot Festival in the game as well. It is a traditional Viking festival that celebrates the start of the Raiding season. It will run until August 19, 2021, and until then, you will be able to participate in festive activities available in the Ravensthorpe settlement around the bonfire. Some of the activities include:
- Flyting, Fight Tournament, and Dice Game mini-games
- Three new quests available
- Exclusive rewards including settlement decorations, customization items, and weapons. Notably, the one-handed sword Skrofnung can be acquired with Sigrblot tokens in the festival shop for a limited time before the festival ends
An additional update is also planned for later however details about the upcoming update will be announced later. To access the Sigrblot Festival, you must have reached England and completed one of the first narrative arcs in the game. Your settlement must also be Level 2. The previous season update added River Raids to the game.
