ASUS has released a blower cooler type RTX 3090 and it is called the ASUS GeForce RTX 3090 TURBO. The card from ASUS features NVIDIA flagship SKU and custom blower-type cooling which is quite rare to find in these generations. The card comes overclocked from the factory and the GPU can reach speeds up to 1,725 MHz.
With the stocks of RTX 3000 series very low everywhere, Asus is pushing ahead at the other end of the market by launching a GeForce RTX 3090 with a different cooling solution and the smallest of overclocks. Asus’ new GeForce RTX 3090 Turbo replaces the hybrid vapor chamber cooler that is featured in the Founder Edition cards with a custom blower cooler.
The blower cooler is cheaper and pushes more hot air from the card out of the system, however, it is a much noisier solution than the new coolers nowadays. The GeForce RTX 3090 is powered by the GA102-300 GPU and has 10496 CUDA cores. This is the flagship card of the NVIDIA lineup for now. The 3090 comes with a 24GB of GDDR6X memory.
The ASUS 3090 Turbo s the same as the standard RTX 3090, including 24GB of GDDR6X memory and 10,496 CUDA cores. The big difference is that the card can be overclocked from 1,700MHz to 1,725MHz. Asus is using its GPU Tweak software to provide the users with easy performance gains for this card.
The heatsink of the blower cooler design is made up of pure copper so that the huge 350 W TDP card can be cooled easily. RTX 3090 is the only model to support the NVLink connector, and the blower-type cooler could certainly help keep system temperatures manageable when running two of these cards together.
ASUS RTX 3090 TURBO requires a 750W power supply and measures 26.8cm x 11.3 cm. It’s a pure dual-slot design. So far, there is no word on the price and availability of the ASUS 3090 Turbo.
