Asus GTX 1660 Ti

The Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti has been spotted and mentioned multiple times and now we have spotted a listing of GTX 1660 Ti models from Asus. According to the listings, the GTX 1660 Ti will be available in 6 GB and 3 GB models. We have already seen the marketing material and the boxes of a few cards which means that Nvidia might release the cards soon.

The different Asus GTX 1660 Ti models include:

  • DUAL
  • Expedition
  • Phoenix
  • TUF
  • Turbo
  • ROG STRIX
  • Advanced
  • Advanced OC

While there is little that we know about the Asus GTX 1660 Ti models, it is speculated that the cards will come with 1536 CUDA cores. While the card will most likely be based on the Turing architecture, we do not know whether or not the card will support DLSS technology. We know for sure that real-time ray tracing is not going to be an option.

The cards are based on the 12nm process and should perform better than the GTX 1060 and should offer similar performance compared to the RTX 2060. Keeping in mind that the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti will not come with Tensor cores, it is more than likely that the cards will be cheaper than the RTX 2060 cards. You can expect to pay more for the Asus models.

The cards have been officially confirmed by Nvidia in a recent press conference but we do not know about the specifications. You can check out the Galax model that was spotted recently. Even though these cards are going to be new and that they are going to perform better than the GTX 1060, it will be interesting to see how competitively priced these cards are compared to the RX 580 and RX 590.

Let us know what you think about these Asus GTX 1660 Ti models and whether or not you are interested in buying one of these cards when they are released.
