Asus GTX 1660 TUF And Phoenix Spotted

Asus GTX 1660

Now that the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti has been released we are all waiting on the GTX 1660 and 1650 graphics cards. These will be the new entry-level models that will replace the previous generation Nvidia GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti graphics cards. Both these Pascal cards were very popular and the GTX 1060 was the most popular model of them all. Here we have two GTX 1660 models from Asus.

The GTX 1660 Ti provides a decent performance boost over the GTX 1060 and the same can be expected from the GTX 1660 and 1650 when compared to the Nvidia GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti graphics cards. The two Asus GTX 1660 models that have been spotted include the TUF series and the Pheonix series cards.

The TUF card is supposed to be a budget-friendly option compared to the other cards that Asus has to offer while the Pheonix card is a single fan card and will most likely be the cheapest of all the models.

The single fan design might affect overclocking but I have a Zotac GTX 1060 which also has a single fan and have been using it for around 2 years now without any kind of issue. This is a card from Asus so you can rest assured that you are going to get the performance of an Asus GTX 1660.

The TUF version comes with dual fans and you will be able to overclock it a fair bit. It will be interesting to see whether or not you can overclock it to get the same performance as the GTX 1660 Ti.
