Two new Asus TUF RTX 2060 6GB GPUs have been announced. The TUF brand is known to be a bit cheaper than STRIX and is designed with durability, compatibility and performance in mind. These new Asus TUF RTX 2060 6GB GPUs are no exception and offer a slight overclock compared to the reference design model.
The non-OC Asus TUF RTX 2060 6GB GPU runs at 1710 MHz while the OC model runs at 1740 MHz. The difference is not that great but that is what you get out of the box and this might be interesting for you if you are not keen on overclocking your graphics card yourself. The memory runs at the standard 14,000 MHz.
The Asus TUF RTX 2060 6GB GPU comes with double bearing fans that are IP5X certified dust-proof. This should help you get the most out of your graphics card and will ensure that it stands the test of time. TUF series is known for reliability and performance and the Asus TUF RTX 2060 6GB GPU will go well with TUF series motherboards.
The card has dual fans and is smaller than other variants that Asus is offering. The card comes with a backplate but does not offer RGB which could mean that the price will be lower as compared to other variants. Unlike the GTX 1060 which was meant for 1080p gaming, the Asus TUF RTX 2060 is meant for 1440p gaming. While the card has impressive performance compared to the GTX 1060 and Nvidia claims that it is faster than a GTX 1070 Ti, the 6 GB VRAM might not be enough for 1440p resolution in some games.
