ASUS has unveiled an updated version of its ROG Swift PG279QM Gaming Monitor. The monitor was announced at CES 2021 and features a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution and a screen size of 27″ with an incredibly high refresh rate of 240 Hz. This combination of 1440p resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate is amazing for immersive gameplay.
The ROG Swift PG279QM gaming monitor offers a higher resolution and refresh rate than standard monitors, featuring 2,560 x 1,440 with a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz. This higher resolution allows for a much better image for gamers who like to explore the surrounding area, while the faster refresh rate is a must-have for competitive games.
The design of the ASUS PG279QM is similar to the ROG Swift PG32UQ gaming monitor but has a slightly different color scheme. The monitor has full support for NVIDIA’s G-SYNC technology. NVIDIA G-SYNC matches the monitor’s refresh rate to the frames which are being generated by the GPU. This technology utilizes a dedicated NVIDIA G-SYNC Processor and eliminates artifacts like screen tearing, screen stuttering, and more.
The G-SYNC processor also brings support of NVIDIA’s Reflex Latency Analyzer and the technology is designed with the most competitive gamers. It measures how long it takes the input from a mouse to be shown on screen. It will show how long it takes for any mouse movement to be translated into movement on the screen.

Currently, ASUS has not announced when this monitor will be available or what will be the price of this monitor.
