If your teammates have set roles for team offense, you can go for defensive characters like Doc or Mom who offer trauma resistance, increase healing efficiency, pick up knocked player once in each level, and bring an extra team life.

If you really want a balanced character, Hoffman is another top choice, especially considering that you will have an increased chance of finding ammo with each kill. In addition, the ammo capacity of the whole team is increased by 10% and that an extra offensive inventory slot is given automatically.
