Bandai Namco is Delisting Jump Force from Digital Stores, Stopping Online Services

Jump Force Delisting

In a surprise notice, Bandai Namco has announced that it is delisting Jump Force from digital stores and stop its online services in February 2022. This not only includes the base game but also all of the DLC and expansions released for the game such as the Character Packs and different premium editions. This will not affect the purchases of all owners of the game or any of its DLCs.

While Bandai Namco has not given a clear reason for the removal of Jump Force from the digital sale, it might be because of some licensing issues for the title between the publisher and the owner of the rights of the characters featured in the game. Jump Force features characters from a diverse roster of anime and licensing issues with any one of them will cause the removal of the title from digital stores.

What is even more surprising is that the developer is also shutting down all of the online services for Jump Force in August 2022. This will render all of the online features of the title useless however singleplayer and all of the singleplayer features of the title will still be available to all of the players who have purchased the title before February 2022 or own the physical copy of the game. Online normal battles will still be playable even after the online services are closed however Ranked matches will not be playable.
