Blizzard had been teasing a new hero coming to Overwatch for quite some time and has finally revealed Baptiste as the new hero. Baptiste is a Haitian combat medic and he is joining the roster of Overwatch as the 30th hero.
Blizzard was teasing him for quite some time with different in-game reports and short teaser videos and we knew that the new hero was going to be a combat medic. We also knew his name from the recently released in-game report. However even after his announcement, detailed information is not known at this point.
In his official reveal video, Baptiste tell us a little bit about his earlier life when he had to steal or starve and kill or be killed. He was one of the 30 million orphaned children during the Omnic Wars. He eventually joined Talon which is the evil faction of Overwatch.
He could not stay there for long and eventually he left Talon after which a strike team was sent after him for deserting the group. However, they were unable to take him down and instead they went missing themselves.

Talon is still after Baptiste and it looks like they are not going to give up easily. Baptiste is joining the roster as a Combat Medic so we can assume that his special abilities will include making sure that none of his teammates die in the battle.
At this point a release date for Baptiste has not been announced but he might be added to the PC test servers soon as it has been the case with the previous Overwatch heroes.
