Bigben Nacon Rig

Bigben Interactive has announced that its subsidiary Nacon has acquired the Rig headset brand from Plantronics, which is a company that is known for making high-quality gaming headsets. In an agreement with Plantronics, this will give Nacon the complete asset acquisition after the transaction that is set to take place next month in March.

The Rig brand includes headsets that are made or gaming experience for consoles and PC. It also includes modular frames that you can swap out and change their appearances. Rig headsets are mainly known for their sound quality and comfort.

This comes after the departure of Joe Burton who decided to step down as the president and the chief executive officer of the brand. Burton has now been replaced by Robert Hagerty who will act as the Chairman of the Poly board of directors and act as the interim chief executive officer of the company.

NACON intends to perpetuate and develop the activity around RIG ™ headsets, especially in the American market where the brand and sales of these specific products are particularly well established. This operation should allow NACON to establish itself on the largest market in the world for this type of activity and to efficiently operate the marketing of all of its products dedicated to Gaming.

Beyond an international extension on the American market, this operation should allow NACON to significantly strengthen and expand its Accessories offer, thanks to very complementary RIG ™ products whose quality has been recognized by gamers but also to establish and strengthen the premium positioning of its Nacon.

Last year Bigben Interactive acquired the developer studio Spiders, which is known for games like Greedfall. Bigben has been expanding numerous studios and the latest one to join the Bigben’s umbrella were CyanideEKO and KT Racing.
