Biostar has revealed a factory overclocked version of the newly release RX 6700 XT. It is the first manufacturer to announce a Radeon RX 6700 XT factory overclocked model. The Biostar Radeon RX 6700 XT will use the reference design but its clock speeds are pushed beyond 2.6 GHz which will provide a huge boost in performance.
The Biostar AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT uses the reference cooling design but has a factory overclock. Biostar is also the first GPU manufacturer to mention clock speeds for the OC variant. Multiple manufacturers have unveiled their custom variants but none of them mentioned the respective clock speeds for the OC variants.
Biostar’s Radeon RX 6700 XT OC graphic card has a base clock of 2330 MHz, a game clock of 2433 MHz, and a boost clock of 2615 MHz. This is a 34 MHz and 9 MHz increase in boost and game clocks respectively. This is great for AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture and we can expect even higher Overclocks from manufacturers as they make custom cooling solutions as well.
Coming to the specifications of the reference card, the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is powered by the full Navi 22 XT GPU that features 40 compute units. That equals to 2560 stream processors/cores. The cores have a base clock speed of 2321 MHz, Game Clock of 2424 MHz and Boost clock of 2581 MHz. The GPU also features 40 Ray accelerators for raytracing capabilities on the RDNA 2 based GPUs.

The card has an 11 Phase PCB design and will be powered by 8+6 power connectors. The card has a TDP of 230W which is close to NVIDIA’s RTX 3070. RX 6700 XT has 12 GB of GDDR6 memory running along a 192-bit bus interface. The card will use 16 Gbps dies which will provide a total bandwidth of 384 GB/s.
The RX 6700 XT graphic card also has the newly introduced Infinity cache and Smart Access memory features. It contains 96 MB of Infinity cache. The card supports PCIe Gen 4.0 and has 3x DisplayPort 1.4 and 1x HDMI 2.1 ports for display options.
Currently it is not known when the Biostar Radeon RX 6700 XT card will release.
