Blood & Truth managed to outsell all other video games last week physically and secured the top spot in the UK sales making it the first VR game to climb to the top spot. This should be kept in mind that this is only in physical sales and when combined with digital sales, the number could be higher. Blood & Truth managed to beat UK’s favorite FIFA 19 which is currently sitting at the second spot.
The difference between Blood & Truth and FIFA 19 is not too great however as only 400 copies made the decision of the first spot. This makes Blood & Truth the first VR game in the history to claim the first spot in physical sales beating the traditional titles. Last week’s first spot was claimed by Team Sonic Racing but despite a dip in its sales, it is still sitting at a strong 3rd spot in the list.
This makes it a huge success as it is still in a podium position after two weeks of its release. Another new entry this week is Cricket 19: Official Game of The Ashes which is currently sitting on the number 6 spot and the Cricket World Cup which started just a few days ago might be the reason behind its huge boost in sales.
Rest of the list is occupied by pretty much familiar titles. We have Days Gone at the fourth spot and it seems like the PS4 exclusive is still doing pretty well when it comes to sales despite the somewhat mediocre reviews from critics. Red Dead Redemption II is sitting on the fifth spot and Mario Kart 9 Deluxe is claiming the seventh spot.
The last three spots are occupied by Grand Theft Auto V, Forza Horizon 4 and Mortal Kombat 11 in this exact order. This sums up last week’s UKIE/GfK Top Ten for last week, courtesy of Gamesindustry.biz.
