Below we have detailed how to unlock Class Mods, and how you can equip them.

How to Unlock Class Mods

The first thing you need to do is to complete a special main story mission. This mission is called Hostile Takeover and is the only way to unlock Class Mods. Upon completion of this mission, you will be frequently given Class Mods as loot as well. The frequency of Class Mods will depend on your character level and the rarity of each Class Mod.

As you can guess, Class Mods also come in various rarities just like your weapons and other items. Getting your hands on the best Class Mods should be your high priority during the gameplay. You will also find Class Mods that will not be compatible with your current character but can be picked up and saved for later.

How to Equip

To equip Class Mods, you will need to go to the Inventory menu and then go to the Class Mods tab. Here you can inspect the Class Mod you picked up, and equip on your character.

Once you have chosen the one you want to equip, press select to apply the mod onto your character and to provide you with the buff that comes with it. If you are uninterested with a Class Mod that you picked up, you can still use it for your advantage by selling it in a vending machine in return for currency. This means that you should never let any Class Mod go to waste and pick up whatever you can out in the world.
