How to Beat Psychoreaver Boss in Borderlands 3 Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck DLC
Like all final bosses, Psychoreaver is also not an easy boss to beat in the game. He comes with various powerful attacks that can easily take quite a decent chunk of your health with a single hit. It is important that you understand the attack pattern of the boss and how to counter each of the moves of the boss. One of the attacks of the boss happens when the boss jumps in the air and comes back down with a powerful ground slam.
What makes this particular attack tricky is that the ground slam is homing and the boss will always aim at you while coming down at the ground. However, your main advantage here is speed and mobility so when the boss jumps in the air for this attack, use the pillars in the area and dodge around them to avoid the attack. Try not to be too close to the boss when he comes down because you can take a little bit of AoE damage as well.
Getting too close to the boss will trigger an AoE slam attack where the boss will slam the area around himself. If you get caught in the slam, you will get damaged so avoid getting too close to the boss. Keep trickling the boss’s health down and pretty soon, the battle will enter the second phase when the boss raises his hands and vanishes. The boss will reappear for the second phase from one side of the area with a powerful attack so make sure that you are on your guard.
During this phase, the boss will introduce two additional mechanics into the fight. His powerful mace and rocket riding psychos. The rocket psychos are pretty easy to avoid since they are pretty slow and you can spot them coming towards you. You can also shoot at them to destroy them. For the mace, watch out when the boss whirls the mace around its head and slams it to the ground. Your best bet is to stay clear of the mace and keep your distance from the boss until the attack has landed. Keep at it and you will soon defeat the boss.
