Brydge has announced a brand-new lineup of accessories that have been specifically designed from Microsoft’s Surface Line up. This new lineup, made in collaboration with Microsoft includes a number of different accessories including Keyboards for the Surface Pro and Surface Go, and a W-Touch standalone trackpad.
The trackpad is the most intriguing item from all the line-up. It is the first wireless standalone trackpad that is made for Windows 10. The trackpad supports Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, Precision drivers, and multitouch gestures, like pinch to zoom, multi-finger swipes to switch desktops, etc. The trackpad features an aluminum build for a sturdy and durable feel.
The W-Touch trackpad measures at 5.5 inches across and 3.3 inches deep. It is rated to provide one-month of battery life and features a USB-C port for charging. Accompanying the W-Touch trackpad is the W-Type wireless keyboard. It is a full-size keyboard containing the Numpad and a complete row of function keys. The keys use a scissor mechanism and have 2mm travel.
The W-Type wireless keyboard comes with Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. It can connect to up to 4 devices at the same time, so you can easily switch the computer to which it’s connected. Like the W-Touch trackpad, the W-Type also is rated to provide a month of battery life and also features a Type-C port for charging.
To complete the lineup, there are 2 new Brydge keyboards, the Brydge 12.3 Pro Plus and 10.5 Go Plus. The Pro Plus model is compatible with the Surface Pro 4, 5, 6, and 7, while the Go Plus model works with the Surface Go and Go 2. Both keyboards feature Bluetooth 5.0, backlit keys, Windows Precision trackpads with full multitouch gesture support, and USB-C ports for charging.
The Brydge Pro Plus keyboard turns your Surface device to a more traditional laptop shape which can be balanced on your lap or a table easily. All of these products will go on sale starting August 17th, and aside from the 10.5 Go Plus that ships the week of September 7th, the others will ship the week of August 31st.
