Bubble Bobble 4 Friends Getting Standard and Collector’s Edition for Switch

Strictly Limited Games has announced that it is releasing limited edition physical Standard and Collector’s Edition for Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. Bubble Bobble 4 Friend is the sequel to the classic video game Bubble Bobble which was released back in 1986. Standard retail and digital release on the Nintendo eShop of the game will be handled by the publisher ININ.

The game is slated to release in Europe, Australia, and Asia on November 19, 2019, while North America will get the game in early 2020. Fans will be able to pre-order both editions of the game for Nintendo Switch from October 27, 2019. The limited Standard Edition will come with an exclusive cover and individual numbering and will cost 39.99 Euro. Only 3,500 of these will be made. You can check out the cover art below.

The main attraction out of the duo is the Collector’s Edition which will celebrate the origins of this milestone in the video game history in a very special way. It will come with different items about Bubble Bobble and its history which have been translated from Japanese with great attention to detail. Fans of the franchise will love them. The Collector’s Edition will set you back 89.99 Euro.

The Collector’s Edition will also come with a special retro-style cardboard box which is the perfect tribute to the classic packaging of the vending machine circuit boards in the 1980s and 1990s. Only 2,500 of these will be made. It will come with the following exclusive items.

  • High-quality collectors box with magnetic closure
  • Original soundtrack from TAITO’s legendary “House Band” Zuntata (includes the soundtrack from Bubble Bobble 4 Friends and the original music from Bubble Bobble)
