There are several items that can be found in the game. Items can be seen on the top right corner of your screen, arranged in a straight row. There will also be some items that will be arranged in a diamond. The items in the straight row are your passive items that include things like your shovel or torch. This means any such item can be used in the game, and for instance when you need to clear a sand wall with your shovel.

The items arranged in the diamond shape can only be activated manually. When you pick up a special item, it automatically goes into one of those slots where you just have to press the corresponding button to use it. For example, if you have a Bombchu in the right slot, you can press A button to activate it.

Items can be found all over the world of Cadence of Hyrule. You can find some lying on the ground when exploring, or you can find them contained in a chest. To pick up an item, all you have to do is walk over them to pick them up automatically.

Magic Boomerang

This item can stun enemies and also kill smaller enemies when it comes back to you. It can be found in a mini-dungeon in the over world, contained inside a purple chest.

Bombchu

This item is used to blow the enemies up, reveals any hidden passages and moves in a line. You can buy a Bombchu from a store in the world.

Bombs

These are used to blow the enemies and reveal any hidden passages. Bombs are common enemy drops, but can also be bought from most stores in the world.

Bow

This item is used to attack enemies from a distance, providing you ranged combat. This is acquired as a reward when you defeat the Dungeon boss.

Empty Bottle #1

This item is used to store items that you find, for example, you can store fish or faeries or other items. You can get this item from the beach hut store. It can also be upgraded by purchasing a Health or Stamina Potion from the Grassland Shop.

Empty Bottle #2

This item is used to store items that you find int eh world. For example, you can store fish or faeries or other items. You can get this item from a story hidden in the cliffs. Tingles Dowser

Lute

Fire Arrow, Lightning Arrow, and Ice Arrow

This item can be used with your bow and offer various effects in your ranged combat. These arrows can be found hidden in mini dungeons of the world. Look for bushes that have a blue butterfly on it, which could be hiding a secret under it.

Ice Rod

This item deals 1 ice damage, while also freezing enemies. It can be found contained inside blue chests.

Fire Rod

This item throws a fireball that deals 1 damage. It can be found in a blue chest found in the world, but can also be found inside a chest in Garudo Dungeon.

Hookshot

This item is used to attack objects and then pull them towards you. It can also be used on enemies which also stuns them. You can get this item inside the boss dungeon chest. You can also upgrade it with Longshot which offers you more range and stuns more enemies.

Rito Feather

This item allows you to jump and avoid attacks. it can be combined with a downward thrust attack on an enemy. You can find it in the beach dungeon, and also in the Windmill Hut.

Deku Leaf

This item allows you to send a gust of wind that knocks enemies back, it can be found in a chest near the waterfalls in the Grassland area, but can also be found in the dungeon chests.

Pegasus Anklet

This item is used for a dash attack that can be released after holding for two beats. It is found in a chest in Frozen Grotto Boss Dungeon.
