Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide Studio have announced to bring Call of Cthulhu on the Nintendo Switch sometime this year. The game was officially released last year in October for Pc, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The developers have announced that the game will come out sometime before the end of this year along with the other horror title by Focus Home, Vampyr. Details are scarce with this announcement of the Nintendo Switch port of Call of Cthulhu.
The announcement was made in the same PR document that detailed future plans of the game’s publisher, Focus Home Interactive. The document also reconfirms that the previously announced Vampyr, which was released last year from DONTNOD, will make its way to the Switch with a tentative released date of 2019.
If you are unaware of Call of Cthulhu, A Private Detective, Edward Pierce is on a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island. Pierce is used to trusting his instincts, but with whale mutilations and disappearing bodies, this is only the beginning as reality becomes skewed. As your investigation leads you closer to the sphere of influence of the Great Dreamer, you will start to doubt everything you see.
You will have to find balance between your own sanity, and your determination in finding out what lurks in the shadows—as they say that madness is the only way that can bring you to the truth. On a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island, the player will soon uncover a more disturbing truth as the Great Dreamer, Cthulhu, prepares its awakening…
The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As mentioned before, the dates for the Nintendo Switch release have not been confirmed yet, but a confirmed date will come out soon, and a launch is expected before the end of this year.
