In our guide we will show you every character and how you can get the character unlocked. In orer to access these characters, you must first find a character specific item within Blackout, and then complete a number of specific character missions that will eventually unlock your character. If you fail the Character Missions during the match, items and tasks will not be counted when you begin another match. Which means you will have to do it all over again.
It is worth mentioning that not all characters are unlockable by character missions. Some characters can be unlocked by just increasing your echelon level in the game mode.

Woods
Unlock Woods by finding the Bandanna, and then complete the Challenge: Fly a helicopter, and win a match.
Menendez
To unlock Menendez, look for a Locket, and then complete the Challenge: Kill an enemy with a shotgun, kill an enemy with a melee attack, and finish the round with the Locket in inventory.
Ranger
This character can be unlocked at Echelon 1
Frogman
This character can be unlocked at Echelon 20
Airborne
This character can be unlocked at Echelon 41
Seal
This character can be unlocked at Echelon 61
Battle Hardened
This character can be unlocked at Echelon 80
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies Characters
Shadow Man
This character can be unlocked by purchasing the Black Ops Pass.
Dempsey
To unlock this character, collect the Death Machine weapon from the zombies, and then complete the Challenge: Kill zombies with Death Machine and finish the match in top 10.
Nikoli
To unlock this character, collect the Cymbal Monkey that is dropped by zombies, and then complete the Challenge: Collect the Cymbal Monkey and kill zombies with it, finish the match in top 10.
Richtofen
To unlock this character, collect the Ray gun and kill zombies with it. Challenge: Finish match in top 5.
Takeo
To unlock this character, find the Katana, and then complete the Challenge: slice zombies with the Katana, finish the match in top 10.
Scarlett
To unlock this character, collect the Racing Goggles and Scarf.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Characters
Battery
To unlock this character, find the War Machine weapon, and then complete the Challenge: Get kills with the War Machine, and finish in the top 15 with War Machine in your inventory.
Firebreak
To unlock this character, find the Burned doll, and then complete the Challenge: Kill a player with Fire, and finish the match in the top 15 with Burned Doll in your inventory.
Ruin
To unlock this character, collect the Grapple Gun.
Ajax
to unlock this character, find a Broken Armor Plating, and complete the Challenge by completing three armor plates from enemies and completing the match with the plates in your inventory.
Crash
To unlock this character, you need to Find the Poker Chips that can be found in a Trauma Case, and then complete a Challenge: End the match with 15 healing items and finish in the top 15 with poker chips in your inventory.
Recon
To unlock this character, you need to find the I Ching Coins, and then complete the Challenge: Avoid collapse damage, place in top 7 and finish match with I Ching Coin in your inventory.
Torque
To unlock this character, you need to find the Note From Torque, and then complete the Challenge: Deploy 2 Razor wires, deploy a barricade, place in top 7 and finish the match with the Note From Torque in your inventory.
