Indie publisher Hooded Horse has announced its new sci-fi capital ship simulation game Capital Command at PAX East 2022. Capital Command allows you to take command of state-of-the-art warships as you fight space battles of epic proportions in a sandbox campaign. You have the ability to customize your shop, master the art of maneuvering and use a blend of tactical prowess and heavy firepower to overcome your enemies.
The game is set in the far reaches of space as you come face-to-face with a mysterious threat. You can command your crew who will follow all of your commands as you give orders to each of them separately. You command navigators, gunners, repair teams, and engineers as you take the helms of a large, cumbersome ship that is equipped with a state-of-the-art offensive and defensive arsenal.
Apart from the physical power of your ship, you also have to rely on your own tactical prowess to win as well because your ship can only do this much for you. You have a vast range of weaponry at your disposal such as solid projectile artillery to missile pods and point-defense turrets. Each of these weapons comes with its own strengths and weaknesses and you have to choose what suits your ship and the scenario the best.

Movement plays a vital role in the game as you will use your thrusters to move around in space and defer incoming attacks. This comes in handy in order to move your point defense teams to face incoming missiles or even alter your entire course to avoid incoming barrages. If you get damaged, you will have to order your damage control parties to repair the shop however specific equipment may be required elsewhere making every choice a gamble.
In Capital Command, your ship is always outnumbered and with fragile ships, weapons taking time to load and track, choices and orders play a key role. You will need to strategize your moves in order to stay ahead of your enemies and ensure your own survival.
