CHIEFTRONIC has announced its expanded range of Steelpower Series featuring the new 80 PLUS BRONZE PSUs. CHIEFTRONIC is the gaming-focused brand from CHIEFTEC and its new Steelpower Series compromises of certified 80 PLUS BRONZE models at 550/650/750 Watts ratings.
The new Steelpower Series PSUs by CHIEFTRONIC are made to bring the well-received and proven upmarket features and components from CHIFTRONIC’s PowerPlay series into the mainstream gamer’s market. Introducing the new 550w, 650w, and 750w PSUs will ensure that a wider range of gamers and consumers are able to opt for CHIEFTRONIC power supplies. While building their PCs, not everyone goes for a GOLD PLUS PSU and having a series catering to the PLUS BRONZE category will help in the long run.
The Steelpower Series features a half-bridge LLC convertor with DC-to-DC technology and premium Japanese capacitors. This will benefit gamers as it provides tight voltage regulation and low ripple. They will get 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency and fully modular cable management giving their the flexibility of building their ideal gaming rigs. Each of the three versions comes with a high power density design.
This allows each PSU to be packed into a compact 14cm long housing with a 120mm FDB silent fan. The design of the PSU is deliberately made to look rugged. It not only looks rugged but is actually quite functional and durable, thanks to its design. This makes it taking it out of builds and moving it around quite easy. Since the official launch of these PSUs are next month, CHIEFTRONIC might slightly alter the specifications slightly before launch.
The new Steelpower Series of PSUs is slated to launch in September 2021 however a confirmed release date will be announced at a later date.
