Lords of the Fallen Overview Trailer

CI Games has revealed an evolved roadmap and strategy showcasing ambitions for its existing and new IPs over the next five years. CI Games has been in the industry for three decades and during the reveal, the company’s CEO Marek Tyminski presented a vision to company investors which was mainly centered on several core pillars with an overall aim to reinforce its solid foundation, facilitate further brand development, fortify team development, and ensure a stronger future with a prominent financial growth.

CI Games also shared plans for a new premium, multiplayer PvE tactical-shooter Project Scorpio which will be developed by Underdog Studio. The studio will explore a live ops GAAS model for the new IP along with long-term post-launch support. Underdog Studio has been focusing on bringing in key talent and expertise to the studio along with enhancing the studio’s ability to enhance their ability to create one of the best-in-class shooters possible. The studio also revealed its latest title The Lords of the Fallen back at Gamescom and it was received very well.

The title has seen significant traction in the gaming community based on its trailer views and Steam wishlists. HEXWORKS will be working on the new The Lords of the Fallen and CI Games still sees massive potential in the action-RPG genre. CI Games also said that it is still interested in bringing the new IP to life, Project Survive, which is currently in development using Unreal Engine 5. For this title, the creative and project management team is collaborating with an external developer Batfields.

The publisher also mentioned its long-running and successful IP Sniper Ghost Warriors and detailed that the franchise will continue as a core pillar of the publisher. With Underdog Studio working alongside them, the development team intends to continue working on project Scorpio along with driving the Sniper Ghost Warriors franchise further as well. Marek Tyminski, Group CEO of CI Games commented:

Over the last three years CI Games has gone through a major change, transitioning from a Polish centric operation to become a developer and publisher with a truly pan European management and team structure. With our evolved global strategy and roadmap focused on premium console and PC content we are ensuring continued success and future growth for the business. We look forward to further developing both new and existing IPs, while also diversifying our portfolio into other exciting areas of entertainment.

United Label is the third-party publishing arm of CI Games and is pretty well-known in the industry for identifying and nurturing talented development studios. So far, United Label has released three titles Eldest Souls, Tails of Iron, along with the BAFTA-nominated Roki. All three titles have achieved commercial and critical success as the publisher aims to continue identifying strong Ips, and release one-to-three indie-developed ambitious titles every year.

For its long-term plans, CI Games is declaring to broaden its portfolio with the introduction of new franchises, building on existing technologies to bring exciting games to market across different genres. Along with this, the publisher will continue working with external partners to leverage internal and external IPs with an ambition to diversify into new areas of entertainment.
