The first of the three new story episodes planned for the critically acclaimed indie hit, Citizen Sleeper DLC Flux is set to launch tomorrow 28, July 2022. The DLC episodes were previously announced by indie publisher Fellow Traveller and developer Jump Over The Age.
The Flux DLC will start a new overarching storyline that plays out across all three episodes, expanding on the wider narrative of the Helion System, the star system in which the Eye orbits. With the new storyline comes new characters, the first of which is Eshe, captain of the Climbing Briar.
A stubborn and driven spacer, Eshe’s fate becomes tangled up with the flotilla. Her story will challenge the player to choose how to deal with a growing crisis that could threaten the entire station.
The second character to cross your path is Peake, the second member of the Climbing Briar’s crew. With a cooler head as compared to one of their captain, and the ability to disappear when necessary, you will get to know more about them as they make a plan to get much-needed relief through the quarantine to the refugee flotilla.
The roadmap for the three-story DLC episodes was revealed late last month in June, where we know that the second free update will be launched this October, while anything else will come in 2023 and beyond.
Citizen Sleeper launched last month in May and was praised for its engaging and deeply enriching roleplaying experience. The thoughtful political commentary and the stunning world-building all add to its main features. The game currently has a rating of 95% Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam, making it an attractive game to purchase and play right now.
