Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues

GameMill Entertainment and Maximum Games have announced a brand new side-scrolling beat em’ up Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues for consoles. Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues is based on Sony’s acclaimed series coming to Netflix later this year. The game will release on PS4 and Xbox One on October 27, 2020, which will be followed by a Nintendo Switch release on November 24, 2020.

Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues features RPG-like progression, fan-favorite characters from the world of Cobra Kai, and two-player couch co-op. It delivers an original two-fold story from dueling perspectives made in collaboration with the series Showrunners complete with character-driven cutscenes and dialogue featuring the voices of Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, and more.

You will be able to play as Daniel LaRusso and his students at Miyagi-Do Karate, or their Cobra Kai rivals, led by Daniel’s old rival, Johnny Lawrence. You have the freedom of choosing either side however you will be able to unlock the ultimate ending only after you have completed both sides of the campaign. The game will allow you to swap between eight playable characters seamlessly in battle.

Each fighter will have its own unique strengths, weaknesses, combos and skill trees. Enemies will be fierce and you will face off against different bosses as well in hard-hitting brawls as you explore the city of Los Angeles of the Cobra Kai universe across 28 story missions. You will also find some iconic series scenes in the game as well that will allow you to relive the story in the form of a video game.

The game is currently only announced for consoles and the Nintendo Switch version is releasing later as well. A PC port might happen in the future but as of now, we will be getting the game on consoles only.
