Developer and publisher Com2uS has announced that it will host the finals event for its Summoners War World Arena Championship later this week. The Summoners War World Arena Championship is the sixth annual eSports competition by Com2uS, and it will take place at Sangam afreeca Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea. At the SWC2022 finals, the top eight Summoners War: Sky Arena players from around the world will compete for a total prize pool of $140,000.
During the event, you will also see returning finalists of the 2021 event including TARS, ISMOO, and PINKROID as they will go against the 2022 regional cup finalists RAIGEKI, DUCHAN, TRUEWHALE, YUMARU, and OSSERU. The event will be a series of single tournament best of 5 matches for the chance to become the 2022 Summoners War World Arena Championship winner. After 2019, this is the first live in-person Summoners War World Arena Championship event, and it is already completely sold out.
Com2uS has detailed the event as:
- What: Watch the top eight Summoners War: Sky Arena finalists strategically deploy monsters into battle at the SWC2022 Finals. Finalists will compete against each other in 5 matches for the opportunity to win the following cash prizes:
- 1st Place: $100,000
- 2nd Place: $20,000
- 3rd Place (Tied): $10,000
- Who: A total of eight players from the regional Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC2022) events, including two players from the Americas Cup, two from the Europe Cup, and four players from the Asia-Pacific region will face off at the event.
- When: Friday, November 11 at 8 PM PST
- Where: SANGAM Afreeca Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea as well as on the Summoners War eSports YouTube channel and Summoners War Twitch channel
While you may have missed the physical event, you can still watch the event digitally on your favorite streaming platform. If you did manage to secure yourself a physical attendee pass for the event, you will be able to take part in different activities at the event such as match predictions and quizzes, and even stop by the pop-up store to purchase coveted Summoners War merchandise.
All attendees will also receive a complimentary goodie bag which will include exclusive apparel, a wide desk mat, a slogan towel with SWC2022 designs, SD (Super Deformation) figures, pins, key rings, and in-game currency coupons. For every goodie bag given away, Com2uS has partnered with Jerry Bag to donate one Jerry Bag full of supplies to children in Uganda which makes their water transportation easier and safer while creating jobs for local women.
