Conan Chop Chop Gets Delayed Again, New Release Window Set for Q2 2020

Conan Chop Chop Delayed

Funcom’s upcoming hack and slash rogue-lite title Conan Chop Chop was already delayed once and now the title has been delayed once again. Previously scheduled to release on February 25, 2020, Conan Chop Chop’s release window has now been pushed into Q2 2020 and a confirmed release date is not known at this point.

The new delay comes from Funcom who announced that the developer requires a little more time to polish the game. Previously, Conan Chop Chop was delayed because the developer wanted to ship the game with the multiplayer included in the game rather than a post-launch DLC. Now, after the title was about to release later this month, the developer, Mighty Kingdom, has asked for more time to further polish the game and Funcom has delayed the game until Q2 2020 with a new release date announcement coming later.

Mighty Kingdom CEO, Philip Mayes says:

We are almost at the finish line. The additional time is to ensure that the game is optimized for online multiplayer and to give us a chance to add some polish here and there. It’s basically all about getting that final Chop in place.

Conan Chop Chop is an action-adventure title by Funcom and Mighty Kingdom based in the world of Conan the Barbarian. It was initially revealed as an April Fool’s joke but the developer went forward to making the game after fan demand went really high for the title. It was announced at E3 2019 and has been delayed twice since its announcement.

Funcom also released a Holiday Special trailer for Conan Chop Chop previously where the previous release date of the game was also announced. You can check it out below.
