CORSAIR has announced that it has launched its first-ever 60% mechanical gaming keyboard called the CORSAIR K65 RGB MINI along with a full range of CORSAIR PBT DOUBLE-SHOT PRO Keycap Mod Kits to unlock a huge new range of keyboard personalization. The new Mod Kits will work will the new K65 RGB MINI to allow players and gamers to fully customize their brand-new keyboard according to their own taste.
The new K65 RGB MINI boasts 100% CHERRY MX mechanical keyswitches, dynamic per-key RGB backlighting, CORSAIR AXON Hyper-Processing Technology with 8,000 MHz polling, and a detachable USB Type-C cable. The new CORSAIR PGT DOUBLE-SHOT PRO Keycap Mod Kits come with five additional colors with which players can customize the K65 RGB MINI or any other compatible keyboard to suit their setup. The K65 RGB MINI is CORSAIR’s smallest keyboard ever.
Featuring a compact and portable design with just 60% size of a full keyboard, the K65 RGB MINI offers nearly the same amount of functionality with its dozens of onboard function shortcuts. These include lighting, profile selection, on-the-fly macro recording, media controls, and much more. Topping the keyboard are the set of durable black PBT double-shot keycaps right out of the box however players can also opt for a variety of other CHERRY MX mechanical keyswitch options as well.
For players looking forward to personalizing their K65 RGB MINI even further, the keyboard utilizes a standard bottom row layout that can be easily swapped out for custom keycap sets which are also perfect for the new CORSAIR PBT DOUBLE-SHOT PRO Keycap Mod Kits launching alongside the K65 RGB MINI today. The new color options for the new Keycap mod kits include:
- Onyx Black
- Arctic White
- Elgato Blue
- ORIGIN Red
- Rogue Pink
- Mint Green
Each of the new kits features a full set of durable PBT Keycaps with 1.5mm-thick double-shot walls and a textured surface with optional included O-ring dampeners for a much quieter typing experience. Featuring striking colors, vibrant lighting shine-through, and double-shot legends that go a long way before fading, the new CORSAIR PBT DOUBLE-SHOT PRO Keycap Mod Kits are excellent for players looking forward to having a highly-customizable keyboard in their gaming arsenal.
Coming back to the K65 RGB MINI, the keyboard is powered by CORSAIR AXON Hyper-processing Technology, which is the onboard real-time operating system introduced in the CORSAIR K100 RGB keyboard. It is termed as one of the world’s fastest keyboards available today. AXON also offers 8,000 Hz hyper-polling which allows the delivery of inputs up to eight times faster than a standard gaming keyboard along with advanced 20-layer onboard lighting effects. CORSAIR has also announced that as of today, the K100 RGB has also been upgraded to AXON 8,000Hz hyper-polling via a free firmware update. The K65 RGB MINI comes with three keyswitch variants as well:
- CHERRY MX Red for silky smooth and linear keypresses
- CHERRY MX SILENT Red blending linear travel with a patented noise-reduction design
- CHERRY MX SPEED Silver featuring an ultra-fast 1.2mm actuation distance
The keyboard also features an 8MB of onboard storage for saving up to 50 profiles, full N-key rollover and 100% anti-ghosting, and a detachable braided USB Type-C cable. The K65 RGB MINI also benefits from the newly redesigned CORSAIR iCUE software.
