Corsair has unveiled a new lineup of PC casings called the 5000 series. The Corsair 5000 series casings introduce three new models, each of them having a specialized purpose and different front panels as well. The Corsair 5000 series includes the 5000D, 5000D AIRFLOW, and iCUE 5000X RGB. All these follow up the award-winning series of Corsair casings but this time, Corsair has changed up the naming convention as well.
The Corsair 5000 series Mid-tower cases follow up the last year’s 4000 series casings, in which the 4000 Series saw a new naming convention for CORSAIR cases, with a Series number defining form-factor and core features, and an identifier to signify each model’s unique characteristics, making it easier for people to choose a case that matches their build’s requirements.
All three 5000 series cases not only have features that distinguish them from one another but common ones as well. All three cases of the series share the Corsair RapidRoute cable management system. The RapidRoute cable management system makes it easy and fast to hide your cables out of sight for a clean build, while new fans equipped with CORSAIR AirGuide technology deliver focused airflow for enhanced cooling.
RapidRoute system is a new design from Corsair that lets you route major cables through a wide concealed cutout to connect them to your motherboard without struggling to fit the connectors through narrow openings. All Corsair 5000 series cases also feature 25mm of space behind the motherboard to keep your cables out of sight.
All 5000 series cases also feature the AirGuide technology. This adds anti-vortex vanes that concentrate airflow in a conical shape, targeting areas in the case where your hottest components sit and improve cooling performance. All three cases come with several fans fitted.
Coming to the cases, the Corsair 5000D and 5000D AIRFLOW casing comes with two 120mm AirGuide fans, while the iCUE 5000X RGB comes with three 120mm SP RGB ELITE AirGuide fans with eight individually addressable RGB LEDs per fan, along with an iCUE Lighting Node CORE controller.
All three casings have great cooling support, with a room of up to 10x 120mm or 4x 140mm cooling fans. A specialized motherboard tray with customizable fan mounts enables you to install an additional 360mm radiator into the side of a 5000 Series case.
The casings can also house up to 4x 2.5in SSDs and 2x 3.5in HDDs. As far as the front I/O ports are concerned, the Corsair 5000 series mid-tower casings come with a USB 3.1 Type-C port and 2x USB 3.0 ports.
The CORSAIR 5000D, 5000D AIRFLOW, and 5000X RGB are available immediately from the CORSAIR webstore and the CORSAIR worldwide network of authorized retailers and distributors. All three cases come with 2-year warranties and CORSAIR worldwide customer service and technical support network.
Corsair previously released the 4000 series of Casings last year that you can check out as well.
