Activision has announced that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is coming to next-gen consoles next month. After its last-gen release in September 2020, Crash Bandicoot 4 is now making its way to not just the next-gen consoles, but also on PC and Nintendo Switch. While initially, the game is only coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, a PC version will be released later this year via Battle.net.

The new port is being developed by Toys for Bob as well and this time around, the game will feature 4K visuals and 60 FPS visuals on the next-gen consoles. The next-gen console version will also have much faster reload times and 3D audio that will immerse players into all-new dimensions. It is also worth noting here is that everyone who has purchased the PS4 or Xbox One version of the game will receive the next-gen upgrade at no additional cost and players will be able to transfer their saved data to the next-gen consoles as well.

The PS5 version of the game will also support additional DualSense wireless controller features. Adaptive Triggers will bring additional control to player’s fingertips and the true feeling of force of Neo Cortex’s DNA-changing blaster and feel of the grip as they grapple with Tawna’s Hookshot. The PS5 version also features an Activity Card feature that will give players a clear breakdown of their progress in each dimension of the game.

The Xbox Series X|S version of the game will support Smart Delivery so if you already own Crash Bandicoot 4 on Xbox One, you will receive the next version for free. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will allow you to take the adventure anywhere you like as it will support all different modes of the game. Pre-orders are now live for all variants as the PS5 and Xbox Series version will cost $59.99, Nintendo Switch version for $39.99, and PC version for #39.99 as well. Additional details about the PC release via Battle.net of Crash Bandicoot 4 will be shared at a later stage.
