Modus Games has released a new character trailer for its upcoming title Cris Tales detailing many of the allies that will accompany players in their journey. Cris Tales follows the journey of the protagonist Crisbell and she will encounter these allies on her journey across time. These allies are voiced by stars of Pokémon Journeys, Nier: Automata, The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and more.
Crisbell is a newly awoken time mage and she is just learning how to harness her true powers in the game. Helping her out in her journey will include allies such as Willhelm, the voice of reason in the group, Christopher, Zas, and JKR-721 who is a fist-fighting robot along with Matias, a talking frog. The trailer also reveals the large voice cast of the game that will bring Crisbell’s journey to life. Crisbell herself is voiced by the industry veteran Kira Buckland who previously voiced 2B in Nier: Automata.
Apart from her, other notable starts include Zeno Robinson who is playing Cristopher. Zeno also voiced Goh in Pokemon Journeys: The Series. Cris Tales is an era-bending JRPG where past, present and future are all brought together on one screen. These dimensions can be crossed by you using Crisbell’s ability to slip between them. You will be using this ability to not only help other citizens of Crstallis but also perform surprise attacks on your enemies. Crisbell will need to use her powers to shape the past, present and future with the help of her allies in the game.
Previously, Modus Games revealed details about the game’s reactive world and a gameplay trailer. The game was originally planned for a 2020 release however the game was delayed from its original release date and a new release date was later announced. Cris Tales is slated for release on consoles, PC and Google Stadia in July 2021. A confirmed release date will be announced later.
