Amazon released its free-to-play shooter Crucible last month to a very poor launch and due to apparent reasons, the game has been pulled back into Closed Beta. This means that Crucible is no longer a released game and players who want to jump into the game will now need to apply from the official website of the game and will only be able to play the game if they are selected.
However, according to Amazon Game Studios, the players who managed to get their hands on the game during its launch period earlier will have full access to the game. This change will only affect the new players trying to play Crucible. All players who previously played the game will have access to the official servers and their progression, stats, and everything will continue to work normally.
Crucible was not in great shape ever since the game was released because previously, the developer removed two game modes from the game. Normally, we see that more game modes are added to a game but in this case, Relentless Games removed two entire game modes from the game. The modes removed from the game included Harvester Command and Alpha Hunters. According to Relentless Games, the modes were removed so that the focus can be shifted on the Heart of the Hives mode which is relatively popular among the community.
With the game now back in Closed Beta, we can expect that the developer will now release a much more stable version of the game. The removal of the two game modes earlier clearly showed that the development of the game was incomplete and the game was released in a hurry. Now with the focus on making the game better and the developers having tons of community feedback at their hands, we can expect the new release of Crucible to be in a much better state.
