Below we have detailed how you can start feeding your followers and how to get food in the game.
How to Feed Followers
In the early stages of the game, you will not be the greatest of cooks, and through no fault of your own as you will unlock better recipes to cook and feed to your cultists. Having said that, you still have to feed them something to keep them happy and loyal, and also to keep them loyal.
Hunger can be monitored from the top left, where the game highlights the collective hunger of the group.
As a beginner, you shouldn’t worry too much on what type of food or quality of food you are providing to the cultists, even of they don’t seem to be loving your cooking skills. Your goal here is to keep the hunger meter away from starving, or high enough to ration the food for a couple or more days.
To do this, you need to make a cooking pit and make all the food recipes available to you in the early stages, and let the followers come to you and consume what you made for them.
How to Get Food
Food is going to be a rare and special item in the game, considering that each recipe you cook with ingredients will provide various benefits for your followers in keeping them loyal.
Stockpiling all you can find is going to be key, as any cultist that starves isn’t going to last too long. Although farming is an excellent sustainable way of getting more food, there are other ways to find food fast, like hunting down spiders to harvest meat from them.
Ultimately, Seeds are going to be the most important item in the early stages for your cultists to survive from farming. You can get different types of seeds as you explore the various regions of the game. As the game progresses, you will get Anura and more followers in your cult, allowing you to find Rakshasa the merchant in Anchordeep who will set up a shop to sell you seeds.
You can also get fish in the game, which can be done so after you have explored Darkwood. At some point, you will get an invitation from a fisher for a visit to Pilgrim’s Passage where you can catch fish of different sizes.
