Redbull Gaming released an exclusive video with the developers of Cuphead. In the video, the developers of Cuphead show their inspiration which led to the creation of Cuphead and also their future plans for next project.
At this very moment, Studio MDHR is busy on the 2017’s Cuphead’s expansion, The Delicious Last Course which was revealed last year. The studio heads in their new video also tell us that they have ‘pretty epic’ ideas for their next game which is currently not announced or being worked on.
In the video, co-creator Chad Moldenhauer shows three Guinness World Records which Cuphead won when it came out. They included the most hand-drawn frames in any video game, most boss form transitions in any video game and most boss battles in any Run-n-Gun Shoot-em-Up video game.
The video also reveals the back-story of how the game started its life and how the developers actually made it happen in four years after initial work started back in 2013. Cuphead was released in 2017. According to studio, the main game behind the concept of Cuphead was Contra Hard Corps.
You can watch Redbull Gaming’s video below because it also inspires you how to never give up on your dreams and how to strive to achieve them.
Studio MDHR is currently working on the expansion ‘The Delicious Last Course’ for Cuphead. It is planned to come out in 2019 and will expand the world of Cuphead. The expansion will add new boss battles, new levels and a brand new character Chalice. Players will be able to control Chalice and play the game with her normally.
At the end of the video, Marija Moldenhauer who is the executive producer and artist of Cuphead, says that they love what they are doing and the ideas about their next title are ‘pretty epic’. This proves that Studio MDHR is indeed going to release a next title after releasing Cuphead’s expansion.
Let us know in the comments section below about what would you like Studio MDHR’s next project be after Cuphead.
I think they meant Contra: Hard Corps.
