Developers of Cyberpunk 2077 Have ‘No Xbox Game Pass Plans’

Cyberpunk 2077 Optimization Mod

The developer of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red, has confirmed that the studio has no plans for the game being on Xbox Game Pass. This clearly throws out any idea that the game will be available to Xbox Game Pass members as a free game on the Xbox console.

In a Twitter conversation by Jeff Grubb at Venture Beat, the reporter talked to the lead PR boss Radek Grabowski about Microsoft getting the game on the Xbox Game Pass. The reply to this question confirmed that they have “no Game Pass plans for Cyberpunk 2077.”

This should not come as a surprise, especially considering that Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the biggest upcoming titles of this year. And to have such a game on the Game Pass could affect the sales of the game. Although not impossible, it would not make sense for a AAA title to be available on the Game Pass early into the launch.

Last month, CD Projekt Red revealed a brand new trailer for the game filled with new details. This included the world of Cyberpunk 2077, the various NPC characters you will meet, some of the story, and lots of action that you can expect from the game. The trailer revolved around the main character, which we already know to be called V. This character can be either a male or a female depending upon your choice at the start of the game.

The trailer gave us a brief insight into V, and them being an outlaw stepping into the world of the Night City. You can check out the trailer below:

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on November 19, 2020. This date has not come without several delays as the game has been delayed twice this year already. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
